Description

A 360g jar of clear liquid honey from our Audley apiary in the very northwest corner of Staffordshire between Crewe and Newcastle-under-Lyme.

The bees spent all summer at this apiary and had generated a good surplus by late summer. We don’t often see the bees foraging here but previous year’s genetic analysis of the pollen content has shown Bramble and Himalayan Balsam which they probably find around the local hedgerows and streams; they possibly find some clover in the local cow fields as well. After being strained to remove any stray pieces of wax it has been jarred and gently warmed to remove any small crystals so it should stay liquid for some time. It has never been filtered so retains all of the pollen naturally present in honey.

It is sold in a hexagonal glass honey jar, with a metal screw lid and tamperproof label.

Honey is not recommended for children under 1 year old, as per NHS advice.
